Elon Musk Announces How Much Twitter Will Charge Users For The ‘Blue Tick’
Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk has released that those who want to receive a verified account will have to pay out around $8 per month. Musk also listed the users offered to those with the blue tick mark in the tweets. The process comes After the SpaceX and Tesla CEO engaged in “negotiation” and confirmed the cost in reply to a tweet by American author Stephen King.

Twitter’s recent lords & peasants system for who has or does not have a blue checkmark is senseless. He also confirmed that the subscription cost could be “adjusted by country consonant to buying power parity”, hinting at a possible global introduction of Twitter Blue.
Aside from the “blue tick”, those who subscribe to ‘Blue for nearly $8 per month’ will also receive “priority in mentions, replies, and searches. It is vital to defeating scams and the ability to share large media like audio and video. There is a paywall bypass for users wishing to work with Twitter. Musk confirms that this subscription plan “will also offer Twitter a profit stream to reward content creators.”

Users with blue ticks will also get “an extra tag below the name for someone who belongs to a public figure, which may be from politicians.” Before making the announcement, Elon replied to Stephen King on Twitter he wanted to set a charge for ‘verification’ because the company “has to pay the bills.” He also confirmed that making users subscribe is the only option to beat the bots & trolls.
