Moto X40, the upcoming smartphone, is expected to come with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, among other features. The company recently teased the smartphone, and it is expected to make its debut. It is a successor to the Moto X30 introduced last year in China. A Motorola handset with model number XT2301-5 has also been seen on China’s TENAA certification site. The listing is said to be that of the Moto X40.

As per the report, a new Moto X40 could come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and is expected to pack with 8/12GB RAM + 128/256GB storage variants. The battery life of the X40 might vary between 4,500mAh for the under-screen camera configuration and 5,000mAh battery for the standard options.
The smartphone has been tipped to run on the latest flagship platform, coupled with LPDDR5X RAM. The Motorola handset with model number XT2301-5, observed on TENAA, includes some smartphone renders. The smartphone could sport a hole-punch cutout on the front display while the back View is set up with a triple rear camera.

The reports have indicated that the Moto X40 could feature an OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The primary camera setup of the smartphone is said to include 50MP sensors and a 12MP telephoto sensor. It is also expected to offer a 60MP selfie sensor, and the battery could support 68W fast charging.
