Realme GT Neo 5 launch on February 9, company confirms 240W fast charging

Earlier this month, Realme introduced 240W charging technology and said that the company’s next flagship smartphone will be equipped with the technology. The rumor mill claims that the company will be bundling it with the upcoming Realme GT Neo 5. Now Realme has set a launch date for the GT Neo 5 and announced that the 240W charging solution will indeed come to the device.
A recent report by Pricebaba suggests that the company plans to unveil the device at MWC 2023, which is scheduled to take place in Barcelona from February 27 to March 2. However, Realme has different plans for the GT Neo 5. Let’s take a look at what to expect from the Realme GT Neo 5.

Realme GT Neo 5 launch date confirmed
The official teaser video shared by Realme on Chinese microblogging site Weibo reveals that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be unveiled on February 9 at 14:00 local time in China. Additionally, the teaser reveals that Realme will be bundling its brand new 240W charging solution with the GT Neo 5. While the teaser paused briefly and revealed no other details about the device, the TENAA listing for the GT Neo 5 previously revealed that there will be two variants: a 240W and a 150W model.
In addition to TENAA, the device has also borrowed from the Geekbench benchmarking website, releasing some hardware specifications and single-core and multi-core benchmark results. With the top Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC and 16GB of RAM, the Realme GT Neo 5 was able to score 1279 points in the single-core test and 3902 points in the multi-core test. At the time of testing, the device was running Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 custom skin.
