Samsung Galaxy S25 Can Not Sports Physical Buttons, Might Be Carrier Exclusive
As per a report, Samsung Galaxy S25 might be the first handset from the South Korean company that could come without any physical buttons. However, it is confirmed that the button-less model might be exclusive to a wireless carrier in the country. An earlier report had already hinted at the development of handsets that do not sport any physical buttons. Vivo was the first company to reveal a smartphone, popularly known as Apex 2019 concept handset, with no ports or buttons.
As per a report by SamMobile, Samsung could remove all the physical buttons, including the power key and volume rocker, from future smartphones. It is confirmed that this change will happen a few years from now, and the Galaxy S23 series will sport these buttons. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series might have a model without physical buttons.
The report also says that a Samsung Galaxy S25 model with no physical buttons can be exclusive to KT Corporation, a wireless carrier in South Korea. Other models can feature the buttons equipped on the current handset.
As per the reports, the KT-exclusive variant may also get new software features to compensate for the lack of physical buttons. This is not the first time a handset without a physical button has surfaced online. For charging, the smartphone used magnetic pins at the back called MagPort, which also supported data transfer.
Similarly, Meizu Zero was also revealed simultaneously as the Vivo Apex 2019. Meizu Zero was also announced as a handset with no buttons and ports.
